From Seed to Oil
The safflower seed is purchased and transported to an oil mill in Niederkrüchten, where the safflower seed is pressed at a low temperature. This ensures the oil retains its maximum flavour and nutrients. Organic safflower oil has a golden yellow to slightly reddish colour with a pleasant light nutty flavour.
Organic safflower oil is widely used in both cooking and cosmetics. This oil goes perfectly with salads, dressings and steamed vegetables.
Organic refined Safflower oil
Safflower oil is suitable for baking and roasting, but not for deep-frying and stir-frying. If the safflower oil is heated to too high a temperature, the flavour will be lost and a burnt flavour may develop.
Cold pressed organic safflower oil is rich in linoleic acid and omega 6. Omega 6 fatty acid reduces the effects on heart and vascular disease and integrates a healthy diet.
